IWRY Fic - Doing Time

Gryphon scrollwork
Hi people.

Are you excited? Are you eager to be reading new B/A fics, which is something we have all been missing lately? Are you visiting the IWRY marathon page every day this month?  I hope you are.

My story Doing Time is second off the rank. Why not check it out.

I hope you like.  Thanks.

Hugs

Ares

Wow- gorgeous, Ares, just really lovely!!! I love the mystery and the cross-generations and the quiet confidence and amiability of Buffy and Angel's relationship. Nice tweak at the end with Giles agreeing to a lunch out!! :-)

Why thank you, Bebe.

I think that with time, everyone has matured, and I'm glad that everyone's relationship came across that way.

The story was inspired by our visit - with Jo - to Bath. Plus, ever since returning to the Land Down Under my watch has refused to tell me the correct date. (I think it's haunted, myself) :)

And, Angel's trouble with his mobile phone? Bruce had the same thing happen to him and I just HAD to incorporate that into my story.

Thanks again, Bebe.

Wassup, Ares! :) Thanks for this lovely story. I thought it was neat that you chose to write a mystery, not only because they're rare in shipper fiction but because we just had that on in PP - and both were so good!

I loved the way Buffy and Angel were the central characters, but the importance of Giles and his family in their lives was emphasized and echoed by the theme. And I think my favorite part was little Enrich - just a normal kid playing with his toys, but you can tell there's something special about him. Nice work!

Wassup with you, sweetie? :)

It was just coincidence that the PP re-read was a mystery this week. And I do love a mystery. I hadn't realised that mysteries were rare in shipper fiction. Thank you.

Thank you also for your lovely thoughts on my story. Buffy and Angel are always central to my fics and I thought to give Giles a happy ending too. Besides, it was a great reason to have Buffy and Angel in Bath, in England. Heh!

I'm glad you liked my little Enrich, the boy has the Sight. I wonder if he will end up a player in their world?

*hugs you*

Finally getting around to reading! Been swamped with RL and moving to a new apartment. Ugh. Glad that's over!

Ver nice, Ares. As others said, it was nice to have a mystery to solve. Definitely reminds me of PP. And I like that Giles came around to lunch.

You do have a way with mysteries and I liked all the external references you used. :)

Thanks for a very entertaining story!

*waves* to you.

Thank you, my dear. Mysteries are so my choice of fiction, and supernatural ones all the better. Setting the story in Bath does seem a nod to PP, it was unintentional, but I wanted to set it there as we've just been to that part of the world.
And besides, couldn't find a German airman's watch in Oz, now could I? Plus, I wanted to fit Giles in somewhere, even if it was off stage. :)

How is the new apartment? I hope you had help in the shift.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read, and comment, on my story when you have had so much on.

*hugs*

*waves back*

Moving is over and done, thank goodness, but it was a rather trying time, even with help.

My world is beginning to settle down, now that a myriad of computer and internet issues have been resolved.

I love, love, love my new apartment! It was worth all the fuss and stress. I hope to be here a very long time.

Ah, yes, I almost forgot that you got to spend time in England and incorporated that special time into your story. :)

*hugs*

Oh moving is very stressful. Our son will be moving in Dec, one week before Christmas...oi! And we're helping...and we have so much to do next month as it is.

I'm glad you love your new place...are you allowed pets?

Oh, my...your son moving so close to Christmas! That alone will add to the stress. Ugh.

My new place does allow pets (or else I wouldn't be here). :-)

My two cats are really enjoying the enormous amount of sunlight that streams in the windows, as much as I do. My old apartment faced north and got very little light. I called it the Bat Cave.

I wish you and your son the best of luck with his move!

Son is moving back with us while he looks for a house to buy. Where are we gonna put all his stuff? We have a four bed house but he has a whole household full of furniture.

He lives on his own so at least that is something.
He has a cat and it's difficult to rent a place that will take pets so he's decided to buy a house instead.

I raised him well. Take me, take my cat.
